SAUCCCEEE.. Boy, how SAUCE gives Ebony KARMA Dior room to grow: the last time Ebony took more than a year to put out a big artistic statement, it was for 2014/2015’s The Red Queen. But looking back, what an intellectual yet darker twist to revel on. Now, on SAUCE, EKD further indulges her personal tastes, which are perhaps more powerful than anyone realized, with distorted guitars, gurgling bass parts and pulsing and addictive beats.
In a move that may reenergize the masses of her devoted Karmilitary, SAUCE eschews KARMA’s club-banging, dance-pop calling cards in favor of lush, hazy arrangements that waft around like smoke from the joints she’s often singing about. Without being too revealing, much needed feelings are unabashed. “Timeless and heartfelt...” is the phrase she uses to describe this project. Here's to 2017, and excitement of Ebony KARMA DIOR'S SAUCE.
